Delhi pollution: Electric and CNG rides get a green light

Delhi's air quality is in the danger zone again, so the government just rolled out Stage IV of its anti-pollution plan.
The big update: electric and CNG vehicles—whether private or commercial, from Delhi or outside—can move around freely, while BS3 petrol and BS4 diesel vehicles face new restrictions to help clear the air.

What's off the road (and what's not)

BS3 petrol and BS4 diesel vehicles are now mostly banned across Delhi-NCR under these rules.
But if you're driving electric or CNG, you're good to go—even for two-wheelers, goods carriers, and public transport.
Construction material trucks are still restricted to keep dust down.
Officials say they'll keep an eye on pollution levels and tweak rules as needed to balance clean air with city life.
