Delhi spots 62 traffic jam hotspots—action already rolling
Delhi just mapped out 62 spots where traffic jams are a daily headache—think Ajmeri Gate, Punjabi Bagh, Kashmere Gate, and South Extension.
These places get super clogged during rush hour thanks to narrow roads, encroachments, and messy parking.
The list comes straight from Delhi Traffic Police and has backing from agencies like PWD and MCD.
What's being done now (and what's next)?
To ease things up fast, more traffic cops are hitting the streets at the worst spots—like ISBT Anand Vihar and Sardar Patel Marg—and over 40 sites have had illegal encroachments cleared out.
For a real fix, plans are in the works for new subways, underpasses, and footbridges at 14 of these jam-prone areas.
Some big projects could take up to two years but aim to make your commute way smoother in the long run.
