Delhi unveils 11-area air plan aligned with Green Budget 2026-27
Delhi just rolled out a major action plan to clean up its air, focusing on 11 key areas.
The city's aiming for stricter rules and greener transport: think cracking down on vehicle emissions and road dust, all in line with the Green Budget for 2026-27.
Delhi restricts goods vehicles, upgrades transport
Expect some real shifts: starting November 1, only cleaner BS-VI, CNG, or electric goods vehicles can enter Delhi.
The No PUC, No Fuel rule will be enforced using smart cameras.
Public transport is getting an upgrade too: Delhi plans to expand its bus fleet to 13,760 by 2028-29, with a focus on electric busses and plans to install 32,000 EV charging points over the next four years.
Plus, landfills are set to be cleared out by late 2027 and factories will need emission monitors or risk being shut down.
