Delhi woman allegedly suffocated by father and brother over relationship
India
A 19-year-old girl in Delhi's Hari Nagar was allegedly killed by her father and brother after her family objected to her two-year relationship.
Police say she was confined, denied food, and suffocated.
The postmortem confirmed she died of suffocation.
Father and brother arrested, family investigated
Her family first claimed she died of kidney failure and jaundice but could not provide proof.
Neighbors said she had been locked up and starved before her death.
The case came to light after a PCR call alerted police; now both father and brother have been arrested, while the mother and sister are also being investigated.
