Dust storm pushes Delhi-NCR AQI to poor 266 before rain
India
Delhi-NCR woke up to a dusty morning on Friday as strong winds brought in a dust storm, pushing the air quality index to a "poor" 266 and making it tough to see outside.
Things calmed down by afternoon, but clouds and light rain rolled in again by evening, so the weather was definitely keeping everyone guessing.
IMD orange alert: thunderstorms, gusty winds
The IMD has put out an "orange" alert for thunderstorms and gusty winds, warning that these unpredictable weather swings will stick around for now.
Expect partly cloudy skies and more light rain on Saturday and Sunday, with daytime temperatures dropping below normal, hovering between 29 to 31 degrees Celsius.
The IMD says this is all thanks to an active western disturbance, but things should start settling down next week.
