Faridabad teen brutally assaulted, forced to consume urine
An 18-year-old Dalit man from Faridabad was allegedly kept captive by his ex-friends on Monday evening.
Over three hours, he was hung upside down, beaten with sticks, sexually assaulted, forced to drink urine, and had his eyebrows, mustache, and head shaved before being left outside his home.
Victim in critical condition
The victim is in critical condition at Badshah Khan civil hospital with serious injuries including a fractured leg and head wounds.
Police have identified the accused as 19-year-old Piyush and two minors—all old friends of the victim.
While the family says they've faced caste-based abuse before, police are investigating both personal enmity and caste angles.
A case is filed under the SC/ST Act; Piyush is in judicial custody and the minors are in a juvenile home.
The community has expressed outrage and is demanding justice as police wait for the victim to recover enough to give his statement.
