Maratha leader, supporter of Sharad Pawar

Patil was a well-known Maratha leader and strong supporter of Sharad Pawar.
He served as Nippani's MLA three times—1999, 2004, and 2008—and played an active role in local cooperative societies and sugar factories.
His influence in the Chikkodi region was felt both in politics and community work.

Patil's tenure as Nippani MLA

After Patil's tenure, BJP's Shashikala Annasaheb Jolle won the Nippani seat in 2013 and has held it since.
Even now, Patil is remembered for his contributions to local cooperatives and community leadership.
