Groundwork begins on 136-km Delhi Panipat Karnal Namo Bharat corridor
India
Ground work has started on the Delhi-Panipat-Karnal Namo Bharat corridor, bringing high-speed trains to the region.
This 136-km line will link Sarai Kale Khan in Delhi to Karnal's New ISBT in Haryana, zipping through major urban and industrial areas at speeds up to 160km/h.
Delhi-Karnal services every 15 minutes
With 17 stations, including stops in Sonipat, Panipat, and Karnal, this corridor aims to make daily travel a lot easier.
Trains are expected to run every 15 minutes, cutting the Delhi-Karnal commute down to about 90 minutes.
Two new depots are planned for smooth operations, and this project follows NCRTC's earlier work on the Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut route.
