Gujarat plane crash: Daughter's emotional plea to Tata Group

India

On June 12, 2025, Air India Flight AI171 crashed just after leaving Ahmedabad for London, taking 241 lives. Only one person survived and is still in the hospital. Now, families are caught between grief and frustration as they wait for explanations and real support.

Airline's offer of ₹1 crore per victim not enough

Victims' families say the airline's offer of ₹1 crore per victim isn't enough to honor their loss. Falguni, who lost her father in the crash, said she'd pay ₹2 crore herself if it could bring him back—making it clear that no amount can truly make up for what's gone.

DNA samples collected to identify victims

To help families get closure, officials have collected 219 DNA samples at BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad to identify those who died. Early results are expected soon, so loved ones can finally know for sure—and begin to heal.
