Guruvayur Temple to wed 437 couples across 6 mandapams
This Sunday, Guruvayur Temple is gearing up for a huge mass wedding: 437 couples will tie the knot, and the number might go up with last-minute sign-ups.
The ceremonies kick off at 4am across six mandapams, with a one-way system to keep things moving smoothly.
Guruvayur Temple entry tokens, 24-person limit
Wedding parties enter through the eastern gate, grab their tokens, and exit via the southern gate after saying "I do."
Each couple can bring up to 24 people, including photographers, but traditional rituals like pradakshinam are skipped this time to avoid crowding.
Security is tight: extra staff, CCTV cameras, and plainclothes police, plus drinking water and medical help on site.
Temple authorities are asking everyone to stick to the plan so things run hassle-free: Devaswom Chairman A.V. Gopinath and Administrator S. Harigopal appealed to devotees to cooperate with the arrangements.
