Hyderabad: Minor, 3 youths stab man over spilled chutney argument

India

In Hyderabad's Nacharam area, a 45-year-old painter named Murali Krishna was forced back into the car by four young men after a late-night argument about spilled chutney at a tiffin stall.
Murali had come to help with a family issue and was waiting for a ride when the accused—three adults and one minor—picked him up.
Things escalated quickly, leading to his physical assault in their car.

Suspects were inebriated during incident

The group took Murali to an isolated spot around 3am where they stabbed him several times before fleeing.
Despite being badly hurt, Murali tried to escape but collapsed nearby; locals found his body early in the morning and called police.
All four suspects were arrested the next day using CCTV footage, phone data, and, according to police, Murali's dying statement.
The adults are now in judicial custody while the minor is in a juvenile home as police continue piecing together what happened that night.
