IMA urges Tatas to compensate medical students' kin

After the tragic Air India Boeing 787 crash in Ahmedabad, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) is urging Tata Sons to give the same ₹1 crore compensation to families of medical students who died, just like other passengers' families. The IMA says these young future doctors deserve equal support, not less, and wants Tata's help to recognize their loss.

TL;DR

Every life lost matters equally, says IMA

Tata Group had already promised ₹1 crore to each victim's family and coverage of medical bills for the injured. But the IMA points out that every life lost matters equally—especially those training to be healthcare providers. They're calling for fairness so no family feels left out or undervalued after such a tragedy.
