IMD warns heavy to very heavy rain across several states
Heads up: The IMD says several states, including Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Karnataka, are in for some serious rain today and over the coming days.
It's all thanks to a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal that's moving west-northwest and is expected to get stronger.
So if you're in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, expect heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next few days.
Rain timing varies by state
Delhi will get light rain and thunderstorms on September 12, with heavier showers likely on September 13 and 14.
Punjab is set for scattered rainfall through the week and bigger downpours from September 13-15.
West Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat should brace for widespread rain on September 13-14.
Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are also looking at heavy rain and storms today.
IMD warns waterlogging and transport disruptions
IMD has warned about possible waterlogging and transport disruptions in affected areas.
Stay cautious if you're traveling or commuting this week.
