In Rampura-Kanwarpura, Cockroach Janta Party activists allegedly attacked, students relocated
Things got tense in Rampura-Kanwarpura village near Jaipur when Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) activists were allegedly attacked while checking out a government school on August 21.
The next day, 20 primary students, who'd been studying in a cattle shed because their school was falling apart, were relocated to a nearby vacant house for safety and better conditions.
Audit finds school dilapidated, 18L approved
The original school building was declared unsafe after an audit found it dilapidated, while a deadly roof collapse in Jhalawar district in July 2025 killed seven students.
Since then, classes happened in tough conditions until local resident Ravishankar Sharma stepped up and offered his empty house as a classroom.
Villagers put up a board asking CJP to help fix the school through the government's Gyan Sankalp platform instead of making it political.
Meanwhile, ₹18 lakh has been approved for new classrooms, and police are investigating complaints from both sides about the alleged attack.
