India boosts refinery output as over 71,000 LPG cylinders sold

In a single day, over 71,000 small LPG cylinders were sold to help households.
Officials conduct over 3,700 LPG raids
Officials have carried out more than 3,700 raids to stop LPG hoarding, suspending 27 distributorships and putting a cap on commercial LPG use so homes get priority.
People are being encouraged to save energy, switch to piped natural gas if possible, and avoid panic buying.
To cushion rising global prices, excise duties on petrol and diesel have been cut by ₹10 per liter.
The government says it is committed to keeping the energy market steady while things remain uncertain globally.
