India keeps petrol diesel and LPG available after Hormuz closure
After the Strait of Hormuz was closed, India's government moved quickly to keep petrol, diesel, and LPG available across the country.
The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has asked people not to panic buy petrol and diesel and to avoid unnecessary LPG bookings.
They're also encouraging everyone to use digital booking options and try out alternatives like PNG or electric cooktops to save energy.
Indian government increases LPG booking frequency
To make sure no one runs out, the government has increased how often you can book LPG: now it's every 25 days in cities and up to 45 days in rural areas. They've also added extra kerosene supplies to help meet demand.
Online LPG cylinder bookings increased to 94%, with around 5.5 million cylinders delivered.
state officials are working closely with the central government so that essential services keep getting priority fuel without any hiccups.
