India vs New Zealand T20 WC final: Traffic restrictions here
If you're heading to the India vs. New Zealand T20 World Cup final at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi Stadium on March 8, expect some serious traffic changes.
With about 100,000 fans expected, police have rolled out special restrictions and travel plans to keep things moving.
Roads closed, diversions in place
Major roads near the stadium, including from Janpath T-junction to Motera Gam, will be closed to private/all vehicular traffic (except authorized and emergency vehicles) from 10:00am on March 8 until 2:00am on March 9.
You'll need to use diversions via Tapovan Circle, Visat T-junction, AEC Powerhouse Crossroads, and a few other points.
Emergency vehicles and residents with proof can still get through.
Metro trains running later than usual
Good news if you're taking public transport: Metro trains will run later than usual.
The last train from Motera Stadium leaves at 12:30am with other routes open until 12:50am so you don't have to stress about getting home after the game.
