IndiGo flight cancelations: Parliament panel calls out airline and DGCA

India

IndiGo has canceled hundreds of flights since December 2, leaving thousands of travelers stranded and frustrated.
When top IndiGo leaders and aviation officials were questioned by a parliamentary panel in Delhi, their answers were described as "evasive and unconvincing."

What happens next?

The panel, led by Sanjay Jha, is waiting for the Civil Aviation Ministry's investigation report (due December 28) to figure out who's responsible.
Meanwhile, IndiGo's parent company has set up a Crisis Management Group to handle refunds and passenger issues.
The DGCA has also asked IndiGo execs to explain what went wrong, as other airlines joined the discussion on how these disruptions are affecting everyone—especially with rising airfares.
