INS Aridhaman to join Strategic Forces Command after sea trials
India
India's third homegrown nuclear submarine, INS Aridhaman, is about to join the fleet.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh just dropped the news on X.
After wrapping up its final sea trials, the sub is set to boost India's underwater defense game and will soon be part of the Strategic Forces Command.
Aridhaman packs 8 vertical missile tubes
INS Aridhaman packs eight vertical launch tubes for more missile power, making India's at-sea nuclear deterrence even stronger.
It will take over from INS Arihant and INS Arighaat as a key player in maritime security.
Plus, during his visit to Visakhapatnam, Singh also was scheduled to commission the stealth frigate Taragiri—both ships show how serious India is about protecting its eastern coast and keeping its Navy sharp.
