Kerala twins Ihan and Rehan die after pesticide ingestion
A really sad story from Kerala: twin one-year-old boys, Ihan and Rehan, lost their lives after accidentally ingesting pesticide at home.
The pesticide, commonly used to control pests in cardamom plantations, had apparently leaked from a bottle stored on a shelf in the house, and the incident happened during a power outage while the kids were playing nearby.
Twins rushed to hospitals with poisoning
Their parents later found that the children's hands and feet had traces of the pesticide.
Around 7:30pm the twins began showing symptoms of poisoning and were taken to the hospital.
Both children were rushed to hospitals, but tragically, neither survived.
Police say poisoning appears accidental
Police say it looks like an accidental poisoning, not foul play.
A forensic team has collected evidence, and autopsies are being done to confirm what happened.
