Krupa Healthcare raid arrests Veeresh Kumar Jain linked to Prashanth
Police and drug inspectors just raided Krupa Healthcare in Bengaluru, seizing fake medicines.
The owner, Veeresh Kumar Jain, was arrested in connection with the case.
He is reportedly tied to Prashanth, the alleged mastermind behind this huge racket, who is still on the run.
This raid followed an earlier bust in Bidadi last month, where counterfeit drugs worth approximately ₹4.91 crore were found.
Repackaged fake drugs sold across Bengaluru
Turns out, the network was rebranding cheap medicines and repackaging expired ones with fake labels, even for life-saving drugs and ICU injections.
These were sold at big discounts to over 90 hospitals and pharmacies across Bengaluru.
Investigators are now digging through documents and batch records to track down everyone involved, including more than 15 medical representatives suspected of helping supply these fakes.
Lab tests are underway to check what was actually in those seized medicines.
