India
A wet spell is set to stick around Himachal Pradesh until August 28, says the local weather office.
In the past day, Dharamshala got the heaviest downpour at 68.2mm, with Nagrota Suriyan and Kangra not far behind.
Thunderstorms with lightning also hit spots like Shimla and Sundernagar.
Himachal Pradesh sees 98 roads shut
The heavy rain has caused plenty of headaches: 98 roads are shut, 89 transformers aren't working, and water supply has taken a hit in several areas: Mandi district is dealing with the most road blockages.
Oddly enough though, Himachal is still facing a 13% rainfall deficit for August so far.
The local Met office is predicting more wet weather is on the way.
