Man, mother threaten to disfigure woman over rejection in UP
A 23-year-old woman in Lucknow's Chinhat area says her neighbor Furkan and his mother Rizwana tried to force her to convert to Islam and marry Furkan.
After she refused, she alleges they harassed her with threats, verbal abuse, and casteist slurs—even showing up at her workplace.
Things escalated on October 25, when Furkan and Rizwana allegedly barged into her home and assaulted her family, including her parents and brother.
The woman says the accused threatened to kill the family and even disfigure her if she didn't agree to marry.
Police are now searching for the accused
Police have registered an FIR based on the woman's complaint and audio clips of alleged threats she provided.
A police team is now looking for Furkan and Rizwana as the investigation continues.
The victim's family is asking for quick arrests because they're worried about their safety.
