Mohali: Gangsters fire 35 bullets at retired officer's house
India
In the early hours of Friday, unknown attackers fired over 35 shots at the home of retired Punjab Irrigation Department officer Maninder Singh Sodhi in Mohali's Phase 7.
The whole thing was caught on CCTV—two people pulled up on a bike, shot at the house and three parked cars for about 90 seconds, then sped off.
Thankfully, no one was hurt.
Investigators are looking into possible gang intimidation
Police were called to the scene and found bullet shells, live cartridges, and notes signed "Kala Rana Group."
Investigators are looking into possible gang intimidation but say Sodhi's family hadn't received threats or ransom calls before this.
Now, security has been tightened in the area as residents worry about growing gun violence even in upscale neighborhoods.
