North Delhi's Burari woman allegedly assaulted after cashew theft accusation

In North Delhi's Burari, a woman was allegedly accused of stealing cashews at a local grocery store and then assaulted by three women on March 28, 2026.
She was just heading home from work when three women stopped her, demanded her bill, and snatched her phone before dragging her to a warehouse.
Woman treated at LNJP, complaint filed
Inside the warehouse, she was beaten up, ending up with facial swelling and a fractured hand. After initial treatment at Burari Government Hospital, she was shifted to LNJP Hospital.
The woman filed a complaint on March 30; police have registered a case and are now investigating what really happened.
