Nuh man kills father over firewood dispute

In Mahu village, Nuh district, a family dispute over cutting tree branches for firewood took a tragic turn when Mohammad Arif (38) allegedly killed his father, Mohammad Shamsuddin (65).
Shamsuddin opposed his daughter-in-law trimming the old tree, leading to an argument between them, after which Arif intervened and the situation quickly escalated.

Accused and others flee village

During the fight, Arif reportedly hit his father with an iron rod.
Shamsuddin was treated at several hospitals but died from his injuries at AIIMS Delhi on October 22, 2024. After his death, police upgraded the case from assault to murder.
Arif, his wife, and several others named in the complaint have fled the village. Police are searching for them as investigations continue.
