Nursing students booked, suspended for studying unrecognized course
India
More than 50 nursing students from Jammu and Kashmir, studying at Mewar University in Rajasthan, just found out that the BSc Nursing course may lack the mandatory statutory approvals required from national and state nursing councils.
After protests broke out, 17 students got FIRs and 33 were suspended, leaving everyone anxious about their future.
The Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA) has reached out to the home minister, urging him to withdraw the legal actions.
Students demand transfer to recognized colleges
JKSA is asking the university to either get its program officially approved or help these students transfer to recognized colleges.
With graduation just months away, they're hoping for urgent action so years of hard work don't go to waste.
