PM Modi to visit Ahmedabad following Air India crash

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is heading to Ahmedabad after a devastating Air India crash. The London-bound flight, carrying 242 people, crashed into a medical college complex just after takeoff. Sadly, almost everyone on board lost their lives, including former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.

Modi called the tragedy "heartbreaking beyond words" and shared his condolences with everyone affected. He's coordinating support for the families right now. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner (AI171) hit the city civil hospital and BJ Medical College, sparking a fire. Most passengers were Indian, but there were also British, Portuguese, and Canadian nationals on board.
