Professor Yogesh Sonkesariya arrested for leaking exam using endoscopic camera
A professor from Bharti Agriculture College in Durg, along with five students, has been arrested for leaking a university exam paper using an endoscopic camera.
The professor, Yogesh Sonkesariya, reportedly pierced the sealed envelope of the B.Sc. Agriculture Entomology exam and recorded 15 questions before selling them to a student.
IGKV cancels exams after WhatsApp leak
The leaked questions quickly spread on WhatsApp, leading Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya (IGKV) to cancel the Entomology examination across 28 colleges, impacting about 1,200 students.
Cybercrime teams traced the source back to a student in Durg within 36 hours and seized equipment and cash involved.
In response, IGKV is switching to encrypted digital question papers with one-time passwords for better security.
Legal action is underway against everyone involved.
