Red Fort blast: Rented car, 50 people under scanner
The Red Fort blast probe just got more interesting—investigators are now zeroing in on a rented Hyundai i10 that might have been used to move explosives.
The car, booked for a few days in late October, is suspected to have been used to transport explosive materials that were later recovered from the Faridabad accommodation of main suspect Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganaie.
This brings the total number of vehicles involved to five.
What's happening now
Since the car didn't have GPS, police are piecing together its route using CCTV footage across Delhi-NCR and plan to run forensic tests soon.
Over 50 people have already been questioned as part of this widening investigation.
Meanwhile, Delhi Police have cracked down on residents skipping verification checks—registering 250 cases—to boost safety and keep things thorough after the blast.
