SC removes Danino-led panel from NCERT projects

The Supreme Court has removed professor Michel Danino and his team from NCERT projects after a Class eight textbook included a chapter called "Corruption in the Judiciary."
The move, announced today, shows the court is serious about keeping school content fair and accurate.
Court sets conditions for NCERT
NCERT's apology was accepted by the court, but any future changes to controversial chapters will now need approval from a new expert committee set up within one week.
The court also stressed that real subject experts should check textbooks before they reach students, aiming for more transparency and thoughtful review in what gets taught.
