Security guard arrested for blackmailing 300 women
A 25-year-old security guard, Shubham Kumar Singh, was arrested for targeting over 300 women by making fake social media accounts in their names.
He used these profiles to post inappropriate content and blackmail women into nude video calls, taking screenshots or filming these calls.
The case came to light after a Mumbai college student reported being harassed through a fake Instagram account.
Many victims are still hesitant to come forward
Singh was caught in Karnataka on June 6, and police found more than 13,500 images of women on his phone.
He's now facing charges under the IT Act and is in police custody until June 16 as the investigation continues.
