Snowfall, rain in Kashmir ends dry spell
India
Kashmir just traded its dry days for a fresh layer of snow and some much-needed rain.
Overnight showers and snowfall have cooled things down, with mountain roads closing temporarily and residents should prepare for colder days ahead.
What do the numbers say?
On November 5, Gulmarg picked up 7.6cm of snow while Pahalgam got 2.1cm.
Kokernag led the rainfall charts at 21.2mm, with Srinagar seeing 8mm. Jammu's Banihal and Bhaderwah also caught some rain.
The IMD says things should dry out from November 6 to 16, but expect chilly temps to stick around after this welcome break from the dryness.
