UP: 3 killed, 3 injured in truck-auto-car accident
A serious accident on Sunday, March 8, 2026 (around 5 p.m.) near Hardiya crossing in Uttar Pradesh left three people dead and three others were critically injured.
A speeding truck lost control and crashed into an auto rickshaw and a car, then hit an electric pole so hard it broke and fell onto the truck.
Sadly, all three people who died were in the auto.
Truck driver among injured
Police have identified two of the victims, Amarjeet (25) from Khadauwa village and Preeti Shukla (45) from Bantla village, while they're still working to name the third.
Families have been informed, and Circle Officer Satyendra Bhushan Tiwari provided the identities of two victims.
Three others, including the truck driver Santosh Kumar, are being treated at the district hospital.
Police have taken the truck into custody.
