UP Cabinet grants women employees 180 day maternity leave twice

The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet just rolled out some major updates. Women working for the state government can now take 180 days of maternity leave twice during their careers, without waiting two years between leaves.
This new rule also covers adoptive mothers, making things a bit easier for families.
The move follows a recent high court order and updates an old policy.
UP Cabinet approves 466.45cr Ayodhya widening
The Cabinet is investing ₹466.45 crore to widen Ayodhya's Panchkosi Parikrama Marg into four lanes, aiming to handle the huge crowds visiting the Shri Ram Temple.
They are also waiving stamp duty on land from closed sugar mills to speed up industrial projects, plus setting aside funds to produce 1 crore flags for the 2026 Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
