Uttarakhand Consumer Commission orders app, restaurant to pay ₹10,520
India
A customer ordered a 10-inch pizza but got only a 7-inch pie. After being denied a refund by the food delivery app, he took his complaint all the way to the Uttarakhand Consumer Commission, and won.
Both the platform and restaurant now have to pay him ₹10,520 for falling short on their promise.
Payout covers costs, 45-day payment deadline
The payout covers everything: pizza cost, delivery fee, ₹5,000 for mental and physical harassment, and another ₹5,000 for legal expenses.
The commission gave both parties 45 days to pay up.
This case is a reminder that even small orders deserve fair treatment!
