Western disturbance brings rain, hail and cooling to northwest-central India
A western disturbance is rolling in this week, bringing rain and hailstorms to northwest and central India.
Temperatures are set to dip below normal, a welcome break from the early summer heat.
Kashmir Valley to get heavy showers
Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh can expect steady rain and storms, with heavy showers likely in the Kashmir Valley.
Hail may hit parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Punjab, Haryana, and west UP will see gusty winds (up to 50km/h) with some rain.
Central India (think Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh) will get thunderstorms too.
Over in the east (Jharkhand, West Bengal), there's a chance of light showers under cloudy skies, but temperatures should stay mild for April.
Down south stays mostly warm, but interior Karnataka might catch a passing shower.
