Western disturbance brings rain wind snow to Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu and Kashmir is in for a stretch of rainy, windy, and snowy days thanks to a western disturbance. Srinagar already saw some road flooding, while areas like Shopian and Kupwara got fresh snowfall.
The weather has made roads slippery, leading to five reported accidents.
This unsettled spell is expected to last until April 10.
Srinagar administration advises avoiding nonessential travel
With winds possibly reaching 50 kph, Srinagar's district administration is asking everyone to avoid nonessential travel at least until the evening of April 4.
Tourists, shikara operators, and anyone near Dal Lake or Jhelum River should double-check conditions before heading out.
Miners and workers by water bodies are also being told to stay alert: officials are stressing that public cooperation is key during this tricky weather.
