ACME Solar gets ₹4,725cr boost for clean energy push

Business

ACME Solar just secured ₹4,725 crore from Indian banks to power up its renewable energy projects and bring down borrowing costs.
This move is aimed at reducing the cost of their solar, wind, and storage projects and supporting the construction of green projects under long-term power agreements.

Where's the money going?

Most of the new funds—₹2,716 crore—are headed to the 300 MW ACME Sigma FDRE project with four hours of battery storage.
Another ₹800 crore supports the 150 MW ACME Platinum Solar + ESS project with two hours of backup.
Both are already connected to the grid and close to wrapping up construction.

Smarter financing = lower costs

ACME also refinanced ₹1,209 crore for its operational Sikar Solar project, which will help cut interest rates by nearly 2%.
In total this year, their new greenfield funding has hit ₹10,590 crore—now covering over 90% of projects with signed power agreements.
Plus, recent refinancing moves are saving even more on interest across other loans.
