Air India nears completion of Boeing 787 inspections

Business

Air India is nearly finished with safety inspections on its Boeing 787 fleet, following a DGCA order after a 787-800 crash on June 12.
The checks cover all Dreamliners powered by GE's GEnx engines and are set to be mostly done by Wednesday.

What the DGCA said and current status of inspections

The DGCA asked Air India to inspect key systems like fuel and engine controls.
Out of 33 Dreamliners, 25 have already been checked, with the rest either next in line or under regular maintenance.
If your flight gets delayed because of these checks, Air India is offering refunds or free rescheduling—just to keep things hassle-free while they focus on everyone's safety.
