Rivaling Tata Sky, Airtel reduces prices of its set-top boxes

In a bid to expand its presence in India, Airtel has reduced the prices of its Digital TV set-top boxes. The telecom giant has reduced the prices of its HD and SD set-top boxes by Rs. 200 for the new customers. Interestingly, the move comes just days after Tata Sky reduced the prices of its set-top boxes by Rs. 400. Here's more.

The price cut is not applicable on Airtel's Internet TV

The latest price reduction of Rs. 200 is applicable only on the HD and SD set-top boxes and not on Airtel's Internet TV set-top box. Reportedly, the new prices are now effective across all Airtel stores.

Airtel has launched new long-term packs for Digital-TV users

Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel has also launched six new long-term recharge packs for its Digital TV subscribers. The new packs- Hindi Value SD pack, Ultimate Dhamaka Pack SD, Gujarat Value Sports SD, Gujarat Value Sports HD, Gujarat Mega SD, and Gujarat Mega HD- are available via the company's website, app, or through customer care. Here's more on the new packs.
