Amazon merges seller support and emerging markets under 1 leader
Amazon just gave Senior VP Amit Agarwal a big new job: he'll now head Worldwide Selling Partner Services (SPS), the team that supports millions of third-party sellers with everything from onboarding and payments to ads and logistics.
On top of that, he's still in charge of Amazon's International Emerging Stores across 10 countries, including India and Brazil.
Agarwal's new job
Independent sellers now make up over 60% of everything sold on Amazon.
By putting seller support and emerging markets under one leader, Amazon is aiming for smoother growth worldwide—and a safer, more trustworthy experience for shoppers.
Agarwal has been at Amazon nearly 27 years
Agarwal has been at Amazon nearly 27 years and led Amazon India through some tough competition and tricky regulations. He's based in Seattle these days.
The previous SPS head, Dharmesh Mehta, will become CEO Andy Jassy's technical adviser in March 2026.
