The Andhra Pradesh government has approved the establishment of a 512MW green integrated artificial intelligence (AI) data center in Visakhapatnam district. The project, which is being developed by AM AI Factory Pvt Ltd, will require an investment of over ₹31,387 crore. The facility will be located at Amanam village in Bheemunipatnam mandal and is expected to create employment opportunities for up to 1,000 people.

IT Secretary Bhaskar Katamneni announced the government's approval in a recent Government Order.

He said, "The government, after careful examination... hereby accords approval to AM AI Factory (Vizag) Pvt Ltd for the establishment of a 512-MW Green Integrated AI Data Centre Facility... within a period of two years and four months."

This timeline indicates that construction could be completed by December 2028.
