Bengaluru AI startup NeuroPixel. AI closes amid funding and competition woes
NeuroPixel.AI, a Bengaluru-based AI startup launched in 2020, has closed its doors.
The team, led by co-founder Arvind Venugopal Nair, pointed to financial stress, tough competition from global tech giants, and trouble breaking into the market as the main reasons.
Their AI-powered tools for fashion e-commerce (like virtual try-ons and digital model generation) got them clients such as Myntra and Fabindia, but it wasn't enough to keep things going.
NeuroPixel. AI raised $1.2 million despite client nonpayment
Even after raising $1.2 million from backers like Flipkart Ventures, NeuroPixel. AI couldn't stay afloat, especially when a key client delayed payments for over six months.
Now, they're hoping to monetize their tech stack while winding down core services.
Another shutdown in the list is Alle, the AI fashion stylist platform, which is also shutting shop this year, showing just how challenging the space has become.
