ICICI Bank updates service charges

Heads up if you use ICICI Bank—starting July 1, 2025, the bank is tightening its free transaction limits and hiking fees on a bunch of services.
Here's what you need to know so you're not caught off guard.

TL;DR

ATM transactions at other banks will cost you more

You'll get five free financial ATM transactions per month at ICICI ATMs; after that, it's ₹23 each.
Non-financial ATM uses (like checking your balance) are still free at ICICI ATMs.
Using other banks' ATMs? Metro users get three free transactions a month; non-metro users get five.
Go over these and you'll pay ₹23 for financial and ₹8.50 for non-financial transactions.

International transactions are getting pricier

Taking out cash abroad will cost ₹125 plus a 3.5% currency conversion fee, and even just checking your balance at an international ATM is now ₹25.
At branches or cash recycler machines, only three free deposits or withdrawals are allowed monthly—after that it's a steep ₹150 per transaction.
Good news: senior citizens don't have to worry about these new charges.

IMPS transfers will now cost you more

IMPS transfers will now cost between ₹2.50-₹15 depending on the amount sent (up to ₹5 lakh).
Annual debit card fees remain unchanged—₹300 for most customers—but getting a replacement card will set you back another ₹300.
These changes reflect higher transaction costs rolling out from July onwards, so keep an eye on your usage!
