India won't import 80% of its energy in next decade
Mukesh Ambani said India will not import 80% of its energy within the next decade.
Speaking at a JioBlackRock event in Mumbai, he said, "In the next decade, India will not import 80% of its energy," crediting new tech and smart investments for making this possible.
Ambani sees $30 trillion economy in future
Ambani also laid out a bold vision—he sees India's economy growing from $4-4.5 trillion now to as much as $30 trillion over the next 20-30 years.
To get there, he says we need better infrastructure: think roads, renewable power, digital networks, and 5G everywhere.
He says technology infrastructure so that every village has intelligence available to them will boost self-reliance.
'India's era'
BlackRock CEO Larry Fink called the next 20-25 years "India's era" and urged people to invest in growth rather than merely parking savings in bank accounts.
Ambani also credited Prime Minister Modi's steady leadership for creating an environment where high growth—maybe even double digits—is possible.
