India's IT hiring to touch 18L in 2025: Report
India's IT job market is set for a big leap, with demand expected to reach 1.8 million roles in 2025—a solid 16% rise from last year, says Quess Corp.
The surge is powered by Global Capability Centres (GCCs), which now make up over a quarter of all IT jobs, compared to just 15% in 2024.
What's changing in IT hiring?
Hiring trends are shifting: product and SaaS companies are growing carefully, while startups are slowing down due to funding moderation.
Most opportunities (65%) are for mid-career pros with 4-10 years' experience; entry-level roles make up just 15%.
There's also more demand for contract positions (now at about 10-11%), and skills like AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity saw particularly strong interest—so if you're eyeing these fields, the future looks promising!
