Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal gets relief from Bombay HC
Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal just got some relief from the Bombay High Court—his bank account is no longer labeled "fraud."
The court said Bank of India messed up basic procedures: they didn't share the forensic audit report or give Goyal a real chance to respond before tagging his account, which goes against RBI rules about fairness.
Judges say Bank of India messed up big time
The judges pointed out that Bank of India sent show-cause notices in December 2024 and July 2025, but skipped key steps both times.
Even after finally attaching the audit report, they never let Goyal explain his side.
Because of these errors, the court canceled the fraud tag and told the bank to start over—this time following proper process.
It's a reminder that even big institutions have to play by the rules, especially when serious accusations are involved.
