Rajasthan electricity regulator keeps power tariffs unchanged statewide for 2026-27

Rajasthan's electricity regulator just announced that power tariffs will stay the same for 2026-27, good news for over 1.75 crore consumers across the state.
After reviewing proposals from Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Ajmer's power companies, the commission decided not to hike rates for the 2026-27 financial year.
Rajasthan tariff tweaks support electric mobility
While most rates remain unchanged, there are a few tweaks: minimum charges for medium-sized industries drop a bit (from ₹6.30 to ₹6 per unit), street lighting is now exempt from daytime tariffs, and fixed charges are gone for electric vehicle charging stations.
The idea is to support electric mobility in Rajasthan.
