SemiAnalysis sues former employee, alleging trade secret misappropriation and disruption
Business
SemiAnalysis, a research firm focused on semiconductors and AI infrastructure, is taking legal action against a former employee they fired in January 2026.
The company says the ex-employee caused major disruptions at work, acted inappropriately, and broke their contract by misappropriating trade secrets.
Employee counter-sues, Dylan Patel disputes allegations
According to court documents filed March 27, 2026, SemiAnalysis claims the ex-employee refused to work with teammates and even showed up under the influence.
The employee has hit back with a counter-lawsuit, but founder Dylan Patel called those claims meritless and says the company will defend against them vigorously in San Francisco court (Case No. CGC-36-635374).
